Willie Frank Rivers was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina on December 28, 1961 the son of the late Betsy Mae Rivers Quick and Isaiah Rivers. He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Savior and would attend Faith Temple Church of God in Christ and Goodwin Chapel AME Zion Church for his spiritual enrichment. For several years he was employed at Perdue Farms in Rockingham, NC. At the time of his passing he was employed with York Tree Service in Bennettsville, SC. On September 30, 2021 while in Marlboro County, SC he met his untimely death. He leaves to cherish his memories, but not limited to: his son, Jamaal Pankey, Rockingham, NC; his five brothers, Simmy Rivers, Lonnie Curtis Rivers and Henry Rivers all of Bennettsville, SC; Matthew Rivers, San Diego, CA and Jerry Rivers, Rockingham, NC; his two sisters, Adalina Rivers, High Point, NC and Teresa Bright, Bennettsville, SC; his loving companion, Bernita Robinson, Rockingham, NC; along with other close relatives and friends. Service will be held graveside on Sunday, October 10, 2021- 4:00 p.m. at New Hill Free Will Baptist Church - 196 Highway 79 West - Bennettsville, SC 29512. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
