Mr. Walter Fair was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina on December 26, 1946. He was the son of the late Lillian Harley Fair and George Fair. He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Early in life he accepted Christ as his savior. He would attend Saw Mill Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for his spiritual enrichment. Walter was once the owner and operator of his own trucking business in excess of 35 years. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time, as well as, playing checkers and card games. He also served his country in the United States Army enlisting in 1967. Walter received the National Defense Service Metal, Expert .45 Pistol and Expert Rifle M14. He was also honorably discharged in 1969. He was married to the former Mildred Rogers. As God willed it so, on August 23, 2023 while in the comfort of his home, Walter Fair departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memories, but not limited to: his sister, Mary Oliver; former wife and caregiver, Mildred R. Fair; his step-sons, Burniss Miles (Brandi), Myon Miles and Miguel Rogers; special nephew, Keith Fair; his little dog and buddy, "Mister Bobo"; other close relatives and friends.
