Thurmon Laverne Wright was born the son of the late Levone Thomas Wright and Lorenzo Lytch, Sr. His birth took place on February 26, 1962 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County, South Carolina. While in school he decided to become apart of Job Corp. Early in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. Thurmon knew the Lord and placed his life in God's hands. He enjoyed going to church and attending bible study. He was well known and was outspoken. He had a big heart and he loved his community. Football was one of his favorite sports and he loved the Marlboro County Bulldogs and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Thurmon was well known for making people laugh at Apostle Roger's barbershop and for assisting Dr. Quick at Quick's Funeral Home which he did so proudly. He had a great love for his children and he was very proud of them. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Thurmbelina Wright, Wanda Lytch and Betty Lytch; two brothers, Vance Lytch and Gary Lytch. On September 26, 2023 while at McLeod Heath Cheraw located in Cheraw, South Carolina, THURMON L. WRIGHT was called by God to leave this world and come unto Him who made Heaven and Earth. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, but not limited to: his wife, Wanda Gurley Wright; his children of whom he was proud, Desmond Wright, Dwayne Gurley, Safari Patterson and Rasheda Patterson; his granchild, Emani Patterson along with other grandchildren; his sister, Janet Lytch; his brother, Lorenzo Lytch, Jr.; his aunt, Lula Mae Purefoy, Mary Lytch and Juanita Cousar; cousins, other close relatives and countless friends. Those special to him: Apostle Fred Rogers and the barbershop crew, Cynthia Quick and the Quick family, Tina Patterson, Happy Jack and Dr. Toris T. Quick and the Quick's Funeral Home Staff.
