Prentiss Williams was born in Marlboro County, SC on May 14, 1938. He was born the son of the late Nancy May Hicks Williams and Neal Williams, Sr.. Prentiss was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Early in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He departed this life after an extended stay at Dundee Manor in Bennettsville. The realization of his passing occurred on February 3, 2024. He is survived by, but not limited to his four daughters: Cora Douglas and Wyvette Douglas (Rev. James) both of Bennettsville, SC; Tammy Williams, Brunswick, NJ; and Vernetta Douglas, Laurinburg, NC; his sons: Terry Williams and Prentiss Brantley (Christine) both of Bennettsville, SC; three sisters, Barbara Ledbetter (Arthur), Rev. Carolyn Alford and Elaine Coleman and one brother, Jackie Williams (Betty) all of Laurinburg, NC; his grandchildren; along with other close family members and friends.
