Mrs. Pauline Morrison McRae was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina on May 2, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Janie Green Morrison and James Arthur Morrison. She was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County, South Carolina. Early in life she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Pauline was a member of Smyrna United Methodist which was her home church. Later in life she met and married the late John McRae. They were married in excess of 70 years. They were blessed with three children: Paul and Michael and her late daughter, Johnnie Mae. She and her husband moved to Washington, DC and there they worshipped at Isle of Patmos Church. When they decided to retire and return home to South Carolina they then became members of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Bennettsville. She was a loving person and to be in her presence was a pleasure. She loved her family and cultivated special relationships with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On July 20, 2023 while in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving caregiver and granddaughter, Cheron. Mrs. Pauline Morrison McRae responded to the voice of God that only she heard releasing her from labor to heavenly reward. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, but not limited to: her sons, Paul McRae, Florence, SC and Michael McRae, Bennettsville, SC; her grandchildren, Cheron Nicole McRae (caregiver); Aaron McRae, Michelle Cotton, Stacey Warr and Tracey Warr; 8 great grandchildren; her sister, Clara Robinson (Clenzo); other close relatives and friends who will miss this wonderful lady.
