Odessa (Poe) Richardson

Mrs. Odessa Poe Richardson was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina on June 20, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Lillie Poe and Charlie Poe. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was educated in the public schools in Marlboro County. She resided in McColl, SC the majority of her life. Odessa was employed for more than 58 years with Betty Lewellen and the late Tommy Lewellen. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lillie Richardson. On April 24, 2023 while at Dundee Manor in Bennettsville, South Carolina, Odessa Richardson transitioned from labor to reward. She leaves to cherish her memories, but not limited to: those whom she loved as family and loved her family as well: Betty  O. Lewellen and her daughters, Jennifer Guinn, Allyson Murphy and Rhonda Odom; along with other close relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 28, 2023- 5:00 p.m. at Quick's Funeral Home- 118 Robeson Street- Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial at 1227 Adamsville Road- McColl, SC 29570 in the Adamsville Community of Marlboro County, South Carolina.  Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
