Moses Lee, Jr Obituary

Mr. Moses Lee, Jr., 95 was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina in the area of Clio. He was the son of the late Carstella Briggs Lee and Moses Lee, Sr. Mr. Lee was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County and graduated from Lincoln High. He accepted Christ as his savior and was a faithful, dedicated member of Old Clio United Methodist Church in Clio, SC. He was once employed as a truck driver for Boro Wood Products of Bennettsville. He also was enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during World War II. He was a true gentleman and distinguished man. On September 16, 2021 while at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Moses Lee, Jr. responded to the Master's call from labor to reward. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, but not limited to: his loving wife, Darletha Lee of the home; his sons, Dexter Lee (Sharon), Columbia, SC; Jason Lee (Stephanie), Stuttgart, Germany; Moses Lee, III (Stacey), Atlanta, GA; his daughters, Louise Dewitt (Roscoe), Atlanta, GA and Angela Bradshaw (Gary), Columbia, SC; his sisters-in-law, Thelma Easley, Bennettsville, SC; Ola Scott (James), Fort Washington, MD; Geraldine Barr (David), Florence, SC and Fannie Gardener, Laurinburg, NC; grandchildren; along with other close relatives and friend who will miss him dearly. Celebration of life will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021- 1:00 p.m. at the Berea Baptist Convention Center off Hwy 38 in Bennettsville, SC with burial in the Berea Memorial Gardens. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
