MRS. MINNIE LEE ERVIN PEARSON received her call from her Heavenly Father while at the Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She transitioned on April 21, 2023. Mrs. Minnie Lee was the first born of the late Elmore and Ella David Ervin. Her birth took place on November 24, 1929. She accepted Christ at Old Galilee United Methodist Church. She married the late Thomas Jefferson Pearson, Sr. on November 4, 1950, she moved her church membership to Smyrna United Methodist Church, joining her husband and his family. She was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Thomas J. Pearson, Jr. Mrs. Minnie Lee was educated in the Marlboro County School System and worked at Emerson Electric and Marley Electric in Bennettsville, South Carolina. She retired after 25 years of work. She was a member and leader in several organizations over the years. The legacy of her life will be forever cherished with precious memories in the lives of her two daughters, Dr. Carolyn P. Jenkins, Columbia, SC; Mrs. Diane P. Quick (Carl), Bennettsville, SC and her son, Mr. Ervin J. Pearson, Sr., Bennettsville, SC; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Odessa Wardlaw, High Point, NC; other close relatives and friends. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear facial masks and exercise social distancing.
