Minister John Willie Odom was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina on April 28, 1933. He was the son of the late Ina McKay Odom and Willard Odom. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Savior and would attend Wesley United Methodist Church along with his family. Min. Odom was an automotive mechanic by trade. As an adult he would preach the Gospel at various churches in the surrounding areas. On November 16, 2021 while at the BTU Rest Home in Bennettsville, SC, he transitioned from labor to reward. He leaves to cherish his memories, but not limited to: his sister, Naomi Smith, Bennettsville, SC; his five brothers, LeGrand Odom (Valencia) and Charles Odom (Debra) both of Monroe, NC; Francis Odom, Fayetteville, NC; Fred Douglas Odom, Wilkesboro, PA and Alexander Odom(Ethelyn) Bennettsville, SC. Memorial tributes maybe posted here or on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home. Tune into Glory Radio FM 98.5 each evening at 7:30 p.m. for any updates. Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021- 2:30 p.m. at Quick Cemetery off of Pee Dee Camp Road in Bennettsville. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
