Michael Kollock was born on March 4, 1960 in Marlboro County, SC. He was the son of Aileen Kollock David. He was raised by his grandmother, Maggie Kollock. Michael attended the public schools in Clio, SC and graduated in the Class of 1978. He also participated in sports and was on the basketball team. He was a man of strength and loved his family. He was extremely talented in construction and enjoyed working with his hands. On January 23, 2022, Brother Michael Kollock transitioned to his Heavenly Home while at his residence in Clio, SC. Those who will be most profoundly deprived of his fun and caring ways include, but not limited to: his loving and devoted daughters, Danita K. Washington, Charlotte, NC and Monaca Mayo, Philadelphia, PA; his mother and father, Evang. Aileen David (Rev. James), Clio, SC; four sisters, Cynthia Darlene David, Dillon, SC; Linda Brewington (Keith), Bennettsville, SC; Christina Dupree (Bobby), Dillon, SC and Tawana David, McColl, SC; two brothers, James Anthony David (Robyn), Laurinburg, NC and Timothy David, Clio, SC; four aunts whom he dearly loved as if they were his sisters: Evelyn Wolfe (Russell), Carol Young, Rosa K. Wallace and Nancy K. Bethea all of High Point, NC; two uncles that were like brothers to him: Arthur Bobby Kollock, Clio, SC and Ronnie Kollock, High Point, NC; cousin raised with him, Soneia Page, Raleigh, NC; best friend since childhood, Andre' Woods and a good friend, Charles McRae, Jr. ; nieces, nephews other close relatives and friends. Service will take place on Friday, January 28. 2022- 1:00 p.m. at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church -1047 Sandy Grove Church Road -Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial in Spears Church Cemetery. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing. Tributes maybe posted here or on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home.
