Michael Wendell Hailey, Jr.

Michael Wendell Hailey, Jr. was born in Bennettsville, SC. He is the son of Annette H. Hailey and the late Michael Wendell Hailey, Sr. His birth took place on October 3, 1989. At the time of his passing he was employed at Lane Mekra in Columbia, SC. He departed this life on Friday, March 11, 2021 at his home in Columbia, SC. He is survived by but not limited to: wife, Tara English Hailey; his children, Jakyla Wilson, Micah Hailey and Jerimiah Hailey all of Gibson, NC; Michael Moore and Zj'mia Hailey both of Bennettsville, SC; Genesis Hailey of the home; Cameron Hailey, Hamlet, NC; his step daughter, Syerra Harley, Wallace, SC; his mother, Annette Hailey, Columbia, SC; his sisters, Michele Hailey, Fort Jackson, SC; Keisha Copeland (Quintuars); Janet McRae (Sentel) both of Columbia, SC and Angela Hill, Fayetteville, NC; his aunts, Linda Bethea, Bennettsville, SC; Monique Barber (Patrick), Rineyville, KY; Cynthia Hill, Fayetteville,NC; Cynthia Towns, Philadelphia, PA and Tameka Hill, Far Rockaway, NY;  his uncles, Melvin Odom and Michael Hill both of Bennettsville, SC and James Hill , Oklahoma City, OK; several nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends. His special companion, Victoria Young and her daughter, Dayahana Myers both of Columbia, SC. Memorial tributes may be posted on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home or here on the website. Service will take place on Friday, March 19, 2021- 2:00 p.m. at the Hailey Family Cemetery located off of Aaron Temple Church Road in Bennettsville, SC. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
