Margaret Lucille (Malloy) Kelly

Mrs. Margaret Lucille Malloy Kelly the seventh child born to the late Martha and Isaiah Malloy. Her birth took place on April 4, 1926. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jesse Kelly and seven siblings. She was a faithful member of her family church, Hopewell United Methodist Church, later Trinity United Methodist Church where she served as Chairperson Nurture, Communion Stewardess, Finance Chairperson and on the Senior Choir. Margaret graduated from the Marlboro County Training High School in 1947. She was an English Major and a 1951 graduate of Barber Scotia College in Concord, NC. She worked as an educator in Horry, Dillon and Marlboro Counties where she retired in 1988. She had a lovely voice and enjoyed singing, conversing, traveling, reading, working on puzzles, playing games and looking at her flowers. Margaret L. Kelly transitioned from her earthly home in Bennettsville, SC to her Heavenly Home while surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, but not limited to: her devoted and loving daughters, Sharon Kelly Green, Chesapeake, VA; Barbara Kelly Sutton, Summerville, SC and Phyllis Kelly Cokley (John),  Melbourne, FL; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in loving memory of Mrs. Margaret Kelly to Trinity UMC - P.O. Box 1616, Bennettsville, SC 29512. Graveside service will take place Friday, June 4, 2021- 1:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Blenheim, SC 29516. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
