Joyce Carolyn Young Brown was born in Columbia, South Carolina located in Richland County. She was the daughter of the late Louise Young Townsend. She was also nurtured by her stepfather, Robert Townsend. Her birth took place on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1957. She was a loving person and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Joyce worked many years in Industry and Textile throughout her life. On March 15, 2022 while at the Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC, Joyce responded to the Master's Call from labor to reward. She leaves to cherish her memories, but not limited to: her husband, James Brown; her sons, John Campbell (Nayomi), Portmouth, VA and Prentiss Campbell, Bennettsville, SC; her sisters, Arlene Grant(Tyrone) and Sarah McLeod both of Jacksonville, FL; Laura Ann Carter(Kenneth), Florence, SC; Mary McKnight, Alexandria, VA; one brother, James L. McLeod, Charlotte, NC; along with other close relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Tributes maybe posted here or on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022- 2:00 p.m. at Quick's Funeral Home with burial at Berea Memorial Gardens off Hwy 38 S in Bennettsville. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
