Jimmy Murphy affectionately called by his family and friends, "TD" was born in Bennettsville, SC the son of the late Monnie Quick Murphy and James D. Murphy. His birth took place on April 7, 1963. He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County, SC. Early in life "TD" accepted Christ as his savior and would attend St. Paul Baptist Church for his spiritual enrichment. Several years he worked for Lane's Service Station in Bennettsville until his health began to fail. In recent years he resided in Pageland, SC but he always kept in touch with his family and friends in Bennettsville. On November 19, 2022 while in the comfort of his sister's home, Jimmy Murphy responded to the Master's call from this earthly journey. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, but not limited to: his loving sister, Sylvia Murphy; his brother, Tauris Murphy; two nieces, Lashonda Murphy and Kajayla Murphy; one great niece, Mariah Murphy; his great nephew, Tyrone Ellerebe, Jr.; one great great niece, Arianoelle Lewis; his best friend, Gloria Bostic; along with cousins, other close relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022- 12 Noon at Quick's Funeral Home Chapel- 118 Robeson Street - Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial in Ideal Cemetery.
