Helen Thomas Brown was born in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Her birth took place on August 18, 1928. She was born the daughter of the late Maggie Bostic Thomas and Earl Thomas. Helen was married to the late James Edward Brown. She once lived in Brooklyn, New York while there she was employed for over 30 years at Alexander's Department Store. Later in life she relocated back to South Carolina in Bennettsville. In Bennettsville, she was employed at Pepsi Plant under the employment of Mark Avent. She was an excellent caregiver of her children. She was a loving person, she enjoyed working in her garden, visiting people, feeding those in need, and giving clothes to those that were also in need. Helen was an active member in her church, St. Paul Baptist Church. She was an usher and sang on the choir. On June 23, 2021 while at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina, Helen T. Brown transitioned from labor to reward. She left behind to cherish her memories, but not limited to: her daughters, Doris Brown and Patricia Nicole Brown both of Bennettsville, SC; her sons, Morris Freddie Brown, Bennettsville, SC and Wilson Eugene Brown, Augusta, GA; other close relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Service will be held Tuesday, June 29th - 3:30 p.m. at Word of Life Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Beauty Spot Rd in Bennettsville, SC 29512.
