On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, Harold Quick, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 65 of an unexpected heart attack. His loving heart leaves a beacon of light for all in his family and for those who knew him. Harold "Moody" was born on September 6, 1958 in Chesterfield, SC to Roger Quick, Jr. and Lillian Beatrice Quick. He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Moody had a passion for cars. He also loved cutting hair and he combined his two passions to create extraordinary Art. His love of cars and working on cars was admired not only by friends and family, but also by all he met while driving around in his Chevy Nova, Impala or Maverick. He inspired his younger siblings, William (Diesel Technician) and Marion (Automotive Technician) to pursue careers repairing cars and trucks. Moody loved having fun with his brothers, cousins and friends. He would engage in hours of talking about cars, laughing and just shooting the breeze. He loved the ladies and they admired him as well. Later in life, Moody gave his life to Christ and he shared with his sister how it changed his life. He was thankful to have peace. Moody was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian, brothers, James, Glen, William, Marion, maternal and paternal grandparents, many aunts and an uncle whom we miss dearly. He is survived by his father, Roger Quick, Jr. (Alice); siblings, Charles (Shirley), Contina (Mike, Sr.); sister-in-law, Carolyn and bonus siblings, Felicia, uncle Pete(Mary), aunt Pearl (Slade), nieces, Miya and Fiona; nephews, Tony, James, Jr., Mark, Tony, Jr. Jakeem and Michael, Jr. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 - 1:00 p.m. at Aaron Temple United Methodist Church - 3928 Aaron Temple Church Road- Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial in Benny Quick Cemetery.
