Obituary

Mr. Gregory F. Monk was born in Marlboro County, SC on September 2, 1965. He was the son of Frances Monk Loyd and Frank McEacheren. He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Gregory also served his country in the United States Marines. He was a member of the Masons, as well as, a member of the  Shriners Magnus Temple No. 3 in Fort Belvoir, VA. At the time of his passing he was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Triangle, VA where Dr. Alfred Jones, Jr. is the pastor. He was employed at Harris Teeter as a Deli Clerk in Charleston, SC at the time of his passing. On July 2, 2021 while in Charleston, Gregory answered the Master's Call from labor to reward. He leaves to cherish his memories, but not limited to: his wife, Bernadette Brown Monk of the home in Durham, NC; his daughters, Briana Monk, Durham, NC and Shantale Brown, Conyers, GA; his mother, Frances Loyd, Clio, SC. Please tune into Glory Radio FM 98.5 each evening at 7:30 p.m. for any updates. Tributes maybe posted here or on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home. Service will take place Sunday, July 11, 2021 - 2:00 p.m. at the Berea Baptist Convention Center - 1062 Highway 38 South - Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial in the Berea Memorial Gardens. Face masks and social distancing required.
