Edward Tyrone York

Edward Tyrone York, better known as Tyrone, was born in Marlboro County, SC on May 10, 1969. He was the son of Sue Malachi and Earl Pearson. At an early age he would attend Shiloh United Methodist Church for his spiritual enrichment. He graduated from McColl High School located in McColl, SC in the Class of 1987. After graduation, he moved to High Point, NC where he resided the majority of his life. He was always gainfully employed until his health began to fail. On February 17, 2022 while at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC, Tyrone York departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memories, but not limited to: his daughters, Symone York and Harmony York both of High Point, NC; three granddaughters; his loving and devoted mother, Sue Malachi, Bennettsville, SC; his father, Earl Pearson, High Point, NC; two sisters, Christina Malachi, High Point, NC and Melissa David, Greensboro, NC; seven aunts, three uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other close relatives and friends. Service will be held Friday, February 25- 1:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church - High Point, NC - Interment - Guil-Rand Memorial Park - High Point, NC. Tributes maybe posted here or on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home.
