Edith McKay Smith

Mrs. Edith McKay Smith was born in Marlboro County, SC on November 10, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Delma Quick McKay and Cleveland "Cleve" McKay. She was a sweet lady and loved God. At the time of her passing she resided in Rockingham, NC. On August 25, 2021 while at her home, she answered the Master's call from labor to reward.  Mrs. Smith leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, but not limited to: her son, Haywood Smith of the home; her daughter, Karen Smith, Chesapeake, VA; one sister, Mamie Norris, Wallington, NJ; one brother, Eugene McKay, Morristown, NJ; grandchildren; a host of other close relatives and friends. Memorial tributes maybe posted here or on Facebook at Quick's Funeral Home. Tune into Glory Radio FM 98.5 each evening at 7:30 p.m. for any updates. Celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021- 1:00 p.m. at New Hill Free Will Baptist Church at 195 Highway 79 West - Bennettsville, SC 29512. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
