CEDRICK ELMER BENNETT, SR, was born in Laurinburg, North Carolina located in Scotland County, North Carolina. He was born the son of Monica Monik Bennett and Elmer "Tonk" Manning, Jr. His birth took place on October 7, 1987. He was affectionately called "Wolf". He was educated in the public schools of Scotland County, NC. He also attended Barber School in Fayetteville North Carolina and was a barber by trade. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Savior and as a child he attended New Gospel Temple in Gibson, North Carolina. As an adult he would attend Green Pond Church of God In Christ also in Gibson. He also served in the National Guard. His favorite sports team was the Denver Broncos. On Saturday, March 11, 2023 while at his home, Cedric E. Bennett, Sr. transitioned from labor to reward. He leaves to cherish his memories, but not limited to: his children: Ja'Laiyla Zher'Riyaah Bennett, Xzanara Lillianna Bennett, Cedrick Elmer Bennett, Jr. and Zane Ronson; his parents, Monica Bennett and Elmer "Tonk" Manning, Jr.; his sister, Tisha Areonia De'Shea Flowers; his brother, James Jirice Cummings; his grandparents, Geraldine Bennett, Ronson Bennett and Edna Manning; along with other close relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023-2:00 p.m. at Berea Baptist Association Convention Center-1062 Highway 38 South - Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial in the Berea Memorial Gardens - Veteran Section.
