Betty Williams Obituary

Betty Mae Williams was born in Marlboro County, SC the daughter of the late Alice Crosland McDuffie and Danny McDuffie. She was affectionately called "Bett". Bett was born on August 10, 1938. The majority of her life was lived in Minturn, SC. Bett was a faithful life long member of New Zion AME Zion Church. Her marriage was to the late Cleavester Williams, Sr. and they were blessed with nine children. Her daughter, Amy Williams also preceded her in death. On May 15, 2022 while at the McLeod Medical Center Dillon located in Dillon, SC, Betty Mae Williams answered the Master's call from labor to reward. She leaves to cherish her memories, but not limited to: her children: Cleavester, Williams, Jr., Callie M. Purvis, Alice M. Williams, Jeffrey L. Williams, Jackie K. Harley, Joe H. Williams, Viola L. Service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022- 4:00 p.m. .at the Berea Baptist Association Convention Center -1062 Hwy 38 South, Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial at New Zion AME Zion Church - 3136 Huestess Rd. Clio, SC 29525. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
