Obituary

Deacon Alexander Williams was born in Marlboro County, SC the son of the late Lillie Mae Williams Baker and Alexander Baker. His birth took place on May 7, 1954. Early in life he accepted Christ as his Savior and was a dedicated deacon at Word of Life Christian Center Ministries in Bennettsville, SC. He was affectionately called by his family and friends "Preacher".  He was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. Alexander also served the United States of America as a Marine. He was once employed in Bennettsville at Boro Wood Products for 12 years, as well as, Pittsburgh Paints, for a span of 10 years also in Bennettsville. While in Florence, SC he was employed at Lowe's. He was a professional painter and was good with his hands. He was a big fan of football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite food was fried chicken and he also enjoyed going fishing in his spare time. On October 2, 2022 while at the McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee located in Florence, SC, Dea. Alexander Williams departed this life after his work was completed. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, but not limited to: his wife, Celia Patterson Williams of the home; his two daughters, Michelle Davis and Marchillia Agaba; his son, Alexander Arturo Williams; his grandson, Corinthian McLaughlin; his sisters, Ernestine Gainey and Ollie Mae Bethea; along with other closer relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2022- 2:30 p.m. at Word of Life Christian Center Ministries - 1300 West Main Street- Bennettsville, SC 29512 with burial at Word of Life Memorial Garden on Beauty Spot Road in Bennettsville. Everyone in attendance is asked to wear face masks and exercise social distancing.
